Early Childhood Education

How we created an impact and influence in the digital space

Industry

In Malaysia, the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE) is at a relatively infancy stage. The rate of progress is basic at best, and the gaps within the industry are jarring as they steadily widen.

The same is observed of Special Education (SE), where the progress may not be evenly matched with the efforts to make Special Education accessible and inclusive to those who are afflicted. As much as many of the concepts are still on paper, those which have found their way into operation, still see cracks within their implementation.

The task entailed widening the influence of the brand within its audience segments to drive leads. To achieve this over the digital platforms, we needed to effectively showcase the brand’s two biggest competitive factors – its comprehensive academic programmes and remarkable teaching methodology.

Approach

Content for a digital edge

01

The PR Strategy

The content creation took a cue from the institution’s sales cycle. The strategy was to create narratives that were diverse and dynamic, capturing the voice of the brand through a a winning combination of content, visuals and creative insights.

02

The Content Direction

SEO was a prime factor. It sets the basis for a content plan that needed to transcend the institution’s website and extend into ALL its social media platforms. EIGHT categories pertinent to the institution’s brand were created and narratives corresponding to these categories were crafted and rolled out vis-à-vis a detailed implementation plan.

03

Research & Benchmarking

Capturing the competitiveness of the brand was key and this was achieved through a consistent and continuous research and benchmarking process that aligned narratives to national and global ECE perspectives and aspirations. The created content showcased how the institution’s brand of education met Malaysian and international standards, a commitment strengthened by leadership advocacy that contributed to advancing the ECE sector.

The Impact

A long-term goal

We set a strategy that was aligned with the institution’s KPIs.

In the beginning it was a difficult to secure the quarterly numbers. We managed to shift the brand’s social impact through working closely with the Marketing Head, creating an increase in lead generation and enquiries.

The institution continued to chart good numbers during and through the COVID period, recording one of the highest student recruitment numbers among ECE institutions for that period.

These ROIs were made possible through consistent collaboration with the CE and team, an alignment to the DIKA vision and a strong commitment to the CayD deliverables.
